a larger lady with hypertension and knee problems, I have found that Sandy always
gives me appropriate alternative postures, which enable me to benefit immensely
from my yoga practice.'

>> 'Sitting at computer all day, hitting deadline after deadline does nothing
for your posture or blood pressure. Since taking up yoga with Sandy we have found
it to be beneficial in many ways including stress relief, flexibility, general
fitness and well-being. After a days work its a great way to wind down and you
go away re-energised.'

General Yoga:
>> 'I have been practising yoga for more than ten years,
and found Sandy as my regular yoga teacher about three years
ago. I practise yoga to help with the stresses of every day
life, and to keep my body as flexible and therefore as ache
free as possible. I like Sandy's classes for the variety
of postures and relaxation techniques she employs.
The music and incense Sandy uses create a very special atmosphere in her classes
that enable me to relax at the end of a busy day.
Her classes are always well planned, with a range of movements
designed to suit all levels, from a complete beginner to
someone who has been practising for some time. Sandy advises
accurately what positions to place your body in, and is one
of the most mindful yoga teachers I have had for her student's
health during yoga. Her expert knowledge of the human body
enables her to help her students individuals needs safely
and very discretely.
The classes are fun, often with laughter, and Sandy's personality
makes everyone feel welcomed as an individual.'

>> '
I have been attending Sandy's yoga classes for over 3 years
and I have improved my flexibility. I am a keen runner and I have completed
4 marathons. The
yoga has helped immensely and reduces the risks of injuries. The classes are
well planned and Sandy always ensures that the positions are carried out
correctly. Yoga has also helped me to stay calm and focussed. I would
recommend her classes to people of all ages and abilities.'

>> 'Working with Sandy over a period in
the privacy of my home has enabled me to find a better mental
balance and helped me recover my objectivity. The meditative
impact was the great surprise. I now make clearer decisions and
select my priorities much more effectively. Physically I feel
more rested and indeed more energetic. Sandy has taught me
to catch moments and use them for reflection or even just to
switch off, fantastic on trains, planes, hotel rooms and
waiting lounges.'

>> '
I'd been contemplating in embarking upon the practice
of Yoga for a while; however, after several attempts going
to various classes throughout Northampton , I had yet found
a class that I really enjoyed and felt the benefit from.
Just
over 12 months ago I stumbled upon Sandy's classes, As an
aerobic instructor myself, I feel it is valuable to ensure
you are completely comfortable and feel safe with the instructor
in charge, when I first attended Sandy's class she immediately
put me at ease with this new venture, her interaction with
the class, expertise and knowledge with yoga is truly inspirational.
Having introduced yoga to my weekly workout routine I
have found my stamina, flexibility and strength have increased
dramatically. My body has toned up far more than those
years of attempting to push weights I could barely move,
opposed to bulking up I have developed long lean muscles
more efficiently.
The cool down at the end of practice is so beneficial
I have learnt to stretch and relax effectively and at the
end of a tiring day these skills have helped and encouraged
me to find inner strengths.
I'd encourage anyone to introduce Yoga in to their routine
either as an exercise or relaxation tool, but most of all
come and be inspired by Sandy and in my opinion be taught
by the best instructor to reap the benefits of what this
practice can offer.'

Antenatal
Yoga:
>> 'Just to let you know
that I attended your antenatal yoga. I had a natural delivery with
no intervention and got there on TENS & gas and
air. The
labour was however very long. I think the yoga really helped in the
34 hours, as I kept as mobile as possible - the visualisation was very
helpful for dealing with contractions and blocking out
everything around me.
Thanks again.'

>> 'Dear Sandy, I'm writing
to let you know that I've already had my baby!!! I gave birth to
Monica naturally, a
ll went well and she's gorgeous!!!! I
also want to thank you for all the help and good advice you've provided over
the antenatal yoga lessons I've attended throughout my pregnancy. You've been
really super! It really worked during my labour. Especially the <om mani
padme hum> I actually only fully understood it then.
Love,

Postnatal Yoga:
>> 'I really enjoyed your postnatal classes Sandy, especially the closeness
I felt with my baby during the sessions. I really learnt how to interact with
my baby. I believe the exercises strengthened my muscles (especially pelvic
floor and abdominals) and generally helped me a lot.
Thanks again.'
